This will show the \u201cRecurring\u201d toggle button.<\/li>\n<li>Select the number and period (every 1 day, 1 month, 2 months, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Save your expense. You should see the expense added as \u2018unpaid\u2019 in future months.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll have to mark the expense as paid each month \u2013 if you\u2019re using our bank import feature, this is as simple as dragging the bank transaction to the matching expense.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"401\" height=\"419\" src=\"https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-expense.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1305\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-expense.png 401w, https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-expense-287x300.png 287w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 401px) 100vw, 401px\" \/><\/figure>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Editing a repeating expense<\/h3>\n<p>When you open a repeating expense to edit it, you&#8217;ll be asked whether you want to edit &#8220;just this expense&#8221; or &#8220;this and future expenses&#8221;.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"373\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-toggle.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1315\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>If your phone bill changes, for example, just edit it on the date it changes, and apply to &#8220;this and future&#8221; entries.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>NB: When you <em>ADD<\/em> a recurring expense, it will set the paid amount for the first expense, but leave all subsequent entries as Paid = zero.<br \/>When you <em>EDIT<\/em> a recurring expense, if you change the paid amount, <strong>all<\/strong> expenses in the series between that date and <strong>today<\/strong> will be updated as paid.<\/p>\n<p><cite>You can use this to cheat&#8230; go back to the first one and edit it to set all in the series to paid! <\/cite><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deleting an expense or series<\/h3>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"408\" height=\"149\" src=\"https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-delete.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-delete.png 408w, https:\/\/calcal.uk\/content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/09\/recurring-delete-300x110.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 408px) 100vw, 408px\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>You can delete single expenses in the series, or choose a point at which to stop the recurring expense.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">FAQ<\/h3>\n<p><strong>How do I set an expense each week for just 2 months?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the date you want this to start<\/li>\n<li>Add an expense, with a supplier, and set it to recurring every &#8220;1 week&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Go to the date with the expense <em>after <\/em>the last one you want<\/li>\n<li>Delete this expense and choose &#8220;all future entries&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why do I need a supplier to create a recurring expense?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Repeating expenses after the first in the series will be marked as <strong>unpaid<\/strong>.
